Stringora: String Art Maker ("the app") turns your photos into string art videos. It is published by Hugo Software. We collect no personal data.

Your photos stay on your device

When you choose a photo, the app receives only that photo through Android's photo picker. Cropping, face detection and the string art calculation all run on your device. Your photos are never uploaded to us or to anyone else. Face detection only finds where a face is in the picture, so the frame can be centred and the face gets more detail; it does not recognise or identify people and nothing about it is stored.

Videos you create

Videos are rendered on your device. A video is saved to your gallery (Movies/Stringora) only when you tap Save, and it leaves your device only when you tap Share and choose a destination yourself.

What is stored, and where

Your language choice, the daily free-video counter and the last known Premium status are kept only on your device, in the app's own local storage. There is no account, no sign-up and no server of ours that stores your data. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data removes everything.

No advertising, no analytics

The app contains no advertising SDK, reads no advertising ID, and contains no third-party analytics and no crash-reporting SDK. There is no tracking and no profiling.

Network activity

Every feature works offline. The only network traffic is Google Play Billing, handled by Google Play services on your device, to show prices and check your subscription.

Subscriptions and payment

Stringora Premium is an optional auto-renewing subscription sold through Google Play. Payment is handled entirely by Google Play. We never receive or store your payment details. Your subscription status is read from Google Play on your device.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13.

Deleting your data

All data lives only on your device: delete saved videos from your gallery and uninstall the app (or clear its data) to remove everything else. We hold no copy, so there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf. See the data removal page. Uninstalling does not cancel a subscription; cancel in Google Play > Subscriptions.

Your rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR give you rights of access, correction, deletion and portability over personal data held about you. Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct or erase.

We may update this policy as the app evolves. The current version is always available at this address.
